as I said I know it looks pretty hypocrital to complain about the photogarapher using a picture on the internet when, as has been pointed out, I have a pic of my eldest on here, but that's my choice. I wasn't really asking for my sake I probably would've given permission if I'd been asked, but I know that one other mum in particular would not have agreed to her daughters image being used on line, she wouldn't have even had the photos taken if she'd known.

I was just interested in the legalities of the situation....obviously there is nothing that can be done, other than ask her to remove the images which almost a year on seems a little pointless....mind you, I think I'd be having words if my kid was one of the ones photographed naked.

ps....who says that's my real name?!
k8...I wouldn't post a picture of any child or grandchild of mine on a place like CB. There is 'recognition' s/w out there that matches faces to names.
did you pay for the pictures she took or was it a photos for folio situation?

many new photographers offer free photos as a way to enhance their portfolios, and even just to practice, to help them get future work - they get shots for their publicity etc and you get free photos...

even though i think you are worrying over nothing, it would have been courteous of her to ask

perhaps she is unaware of that?

we did pay for the photos but as it was a group booking and she was just starting out, they were v.cheap! I don't think she realises that she should've asked for permission to use them....I'm not worried about it, was just a little surprised to see a picture of my child on a website.
