It seems obvious from a letter in a newspaper yesterday that there will be quite a number of completed Census forms submitted before the operative date. What will be the legal position of people involved? Can they be disenfranchised or fined or will the whole business be overlooked?
online it states that it can be done before the date but you must complete the information required relevant to the 27th March. I guess that means that if you know your circumstances will be different on that given day then to state that on the form.
of course you can fill it in before the 27th and send it off as well - mine is done and submitted on line
If you could submit before that date then the on line version wouldn't submit, would it?
I will stand in the same legal position as I did before I submitted my Census
, you can answer it online or by post as soon as you receive it.
As long as you know who will be staying in your household on the said date

If you do not complete the census form, you will be sent a reminder. However, if then you still fail to complete the document you risk being taken to Court and fined up to £1000.
