Charlie Drake has passed away. As a kid I used to love his humour. Sleep well Charlie and thank you for a million laughs.

AB'ers of a certain age will recall his series 'The Worker' and his endless exhcanges with Messrs. Pugh and Whittaker, who grew increasingly appoplectic at the mispronunciations of their names.

I remember once on a 'live' TV show that one of his stunts went wrong, and he was actually inconcious for a few minutes - inconceivable in this slick digital times.

I'm sorry to hear of CD's passing - most people will be unaware of the debt modern comedy owes to him.

Jack Edwards was the other half of Mick and Montmorency.

Happy days.
