We have just been talking about him and we wondered what he was up to. No mention of anything recent on his website

He is in his 90th year and had a stroke in the early part of last year, so has now retired from the entertainment world.

Bless him - he was serving in Singapore nearly 65 years ago so there is no way he is 80.

He always looked good, though. And his vanity never did any harm.

Yes - in 2005. The following March he had a stroke.

Danny is living and reasonably well in a rest home for retired entertainers - I believe its in Blackpool but I may be wrong. My son has a friend who's grandad was a comedian and singer and is in the rest home with Danny. It caters exclusively for retired pro and semi-pro entertainers.

No Richard O'Sullivan is in the one where Charlie Drake and Alan Freeman where in. It is sad because he has been in there for quite some time from what I can gather

Well now you have sent me off looking for ROS on the internet. There was a photo of him taken in Oct 2006 - he looked older - who doesn't - and he had a stick but not the recluse I thought he had become
