I though anyone could put stuff on there or edit stuff that was already on there (probably wrong though).
I think you're right sherrardk, I thought anyone could add to Wiki in fact they invite you to do so. That's why wiki is not generally accepted as a reliable source when absolute facts are needed eg essays etc.

Hi Prudie .. : )

I think Wiki have clamped down a bit. Have to be registered or something now. Due to vandalism of posts, I think.
Funny how people treat Wiki as an encyclpedia, tho ... It's really pages of "opinions"
A good Wiki article will have links to official and reputable sources at the foot of the page, and quotes with sources, which makes Wiki a great starting point.
Hi Albags, not run into you for a while :-(

I agree I use wiki all the time and most of it is great and I assume it to be factual but I do know it's not accepted in academic circles as a valid reference source.
Hiya x
Been hard at work changing a triple casement 24 pane window we made to spec under that oak lintel (remember?)
Found a lucky penny under floorboards there the other day ... George III'rd .. 1806. Must have been dropped by the carpenter laying the wide floor boards. I will carry the penny now forever : )
I've a feeling things like that were put there deliberately for luck - I'll check on wiki!!
Meanwhile as you say keep it for ever.
Yep ... : )

Not always.

I have been using it during the World Cup (each country playing there has their own Wiki page).

Lots of facts about the players, squads, goals socred.

For example here is the Brazil page
