navman 635 - not holding a charge

just bough a secong hand sat nav...which works fine when plugged in but goes off completely when unplugged

i am assuming it should charge...or i is it a plugged in only model...anyone know...can see anything that says it actually charges anywhere

i would mind but the socket is a bit loose so it keeps disconnecting

Might get a better answer in the Technology section, but it does sound like a charging/connection problem.
May be dead flat, leave on charge overnight and see how it goes after that.
