title and theme tune

Can anyone help There used to be a show in black and white years ago on tv, i think it was french but not sure. all I remember was that in the opening title a little boy pulled a little wooden truck on a piece of string into a gas station fourcourt and when the bell ran the man came out and pretended to fill the truck up.

Can anyone help with the name of show and theme tune.
