I've got my hat ready my Bucks-fizz is chilling,
I will be watching the BBC version, I find they are the best when it comes to a state occasion.
Anyone prefer ITV, and why?

I always prefer BBC for special events. Just seems to be better coverage and no breaking off for ads.

Have a good day Jemisa x

Alibi. There might be back to back episodes of Murder She Wrote.
live rugby.....mainly....but snooker on bbc2 and paint drying on too.......far morew orthwhile...lol.Seriously each to their own so enjoy it and theres always the divorce to look forward to.
BBC for actual wedding-won't watch all day.
ITV are not having Ad breaks during the wediing coverage. I was flicking between BBC and ITV but could not bear to look at Adrian Chiles anymore!! Maybe later when he is gone I will flick back to see Pip Schofield!!
If I get a chance it'd be the Beeb.
BBC, although I think it's rather sad that we have Huw rather than a Dimbleby for this occasion....
mickrog, rugby on tv, which channel?
Have been watching ITV but when it comes to the ceremony I will switch to BBC
Enjoy it all you fellow watchers! My OH will watch the wedding and so will son and his fiancee.
sky sports one
I think my OH will try to stay in bed!

It is not called "uk gold" any more, it is now just "gold" (or even g.o.l.d. which stands for "Go On Laugh Daily").

Just thought youd like to know.
how will we ever manage without cynical ar5h0les like mickrog eh? enjoy your tiddly winks, plonker
Both channels showe exactly the same thing.
not at all, beejaybee, the live footage shows the same thing (though not necessarily from the same angle) but a substantial amount of the broadcast is background chat, analysis, crowd interviews and so on; and even the live footage can be handled differently, as when ITV repeated the first kiss while waiting for the flypast. I notice the Guardian's live blog concluded that ITV came off best, and that Philip Schofield was engaging while Huw Edwards was pompous. This was also my feeling, though I didn't watch all the coverage.
