1970s TV Childrens programme

Hello this has been bugging me for ages.. it was likely to be about early/mid 70s.
It was about a bunch of teens who solved crimes and mysteries. It was set in the UK.
I seem to remember that there was a boatyard or harbour where they would meet up. The Adult co-ordinator may have been based on a boat. they had a sort or triangular symbol possibly made from rope. David Janson may have been it.
If someone can save me losing my marbles i would really appreciate it

rosy - was it based on a book - I can vaguely remember it - what time was it on?

hi Mark - just checked out details no the one i had in mind

Tony - it would have been a ITV programme just after school about 4.30ish, don't know about the book, but i thought the name was linked to the badge.. Tri-something has always stuck in my head

was on before magpie then? think that was on at 5pm so dads could look at one of the presenters?
The only thing I can think of with Tri is the Tripods but that doesn't match up with your info
