It's a mature love song, yes the boy can sing and he sounded great, can't get away drom the fact the song is about committing to a serious adult relationship, anyway, as to Garth sirprize, he's an album artist not a chart artist, he broke into the mainstream top 20 here when no other country artist was selling records
