if the mystery blogger who claimed BGT is fixed intended to ruin Ronan Parke's chances of winning, he or she succeeded. That anonymous letter must have put sufficient doubts in sufficient minds to lose Ronan votes. A great pity because Ronan was in a totally different league to any of the other contestants, and he's only 12 years old. It'll be a tragedy if these doubters also spoil Ronan's incredibly bright future, because by rights he should become an international superstar. The winner, Jai, on the other hand had a whiff of Steve Brookstein about him...and we all know what happened to him. Your thoughts please

don't know who Steve Brookstein is (I'm an old fogey) but I thought Jai Mc had a brilliant, natural and very masculine voice - not detracting from Ronan's talent at all, but he was a little too twee and had obviously been groomed for the public. I'm sure he will go on to great things though.

Ronan will go on to big things, he didn't have to win the contest to be a winner, he has a great voice and I'm sure his future is sealed.

im sorry but there are thousands of kids out there like him, just like that girl last year who had an operatic voice at age 13. I would rather he concentrate on his academic work.

I couldn't agree more with classylady. Ronan certainly has a bright future in store ahead of him.
But I have to congratulate Jai McDowell.He was a really good singer tonight,and I liked his song very much.Well done to him I say!!

I used to have a voice quite similar to Ronan's at that age (not quite as good, obviously, but good enough to sing solos in choirs/stage shows), but when my voice broke I became one of the world's worst singers. I wonder if Ronan's career will stall after his voice breaks

I think Jai's a lovely person but sadly I can't see him being a great success. Ronan perhaps stands a better chance but I thought he looked relieved that he didn't win.

Ronan's a very likeable young boy . I'm sure he'll do well but I hope it's not all too much for him at such a young age.

Don't have to win these shows to be successful nearly all runner-ups have made it big JLS, Susan Boyle Jai Mc Dowell was ok didn't think he was brilliant heard singers like him in pubs and clubs Ronan will be big in the future all the furore lost him the final! The talent overall was good but not great!

i agree - probably a ploy from one rival contestant to try to bring down the biggest competition... its a shame but the public are notoriously simple minded and easily led when it comes to these shows...
