How this soap doesn't pick up more gongs, I will never know, it was very poignant with Pauline Quirk and Aaron, playing a blinder

Absolutely bobbi, the three of them acted superbly and it was done very sensitively, very emotional.

It really does annoy me how the show gets overlooked for awards, particularly Danny Miller.
Question Author
it was good television Chelle and very believable too, I hope young Danny is recognized for this
i agree, however i never like it when they quantify the programme by stating that anyone affected by it should contact such and such, because anyone in that situation wouldn't i am sure be watching it unfold. It is after all a drama, not a documentary, or other informative medical programme.
Very well handled for all that, and not sure how that rubbish east enders just keeps on winning everything. I think Danny Miller is very underrated
Thoroughly agree with everybody. Superbly acted.

it's possible that the Television Watchdog says the have to have that adage em10

and Pauline Quirk is a great actress in everything I have seen her in
At recent soap awards, Danny Miller has received accolades and awards for his acting - quite rightly. I hope at the next batch that pauline Quirke and the actor who plays Jackson also get their just rewards.

Excellent acting from all 3 of them. I blubbed last night at the end as she held him as he passed away.
Danny Miller DID win the Best Actor gong at the recent Soap Awards- very well deserved, he can certainly do "emotional" and "angst". I wish they would give him something to smile about, though!
Could be, confess hadn't thought of that. But watching a soap wouldn't make me search for nearest counsellor, doctor, would know thats where i should be heading anyway. And as i have spoken with the wonderful Samaritans several times, can attest that they are a tremendous organisation.

ginge I think thats the character, the scowling youth with a tender side
salla , me too, hankies were out and I snotted for England
Question Author
yes I agree em but I suppose they have to cover all kinds of eventualities
tried not to i confess, it wasn't sensationalist, which is something many of the soaps do. Aaron and Hazel are in big trouble though, poor Jackson, who knows what that would really be like.
me too salla, I bawled from the minute Aaron took the glass.

i acjnowledge Danny Miller did win last year bu I just want more, as EE seems to take the majority for some reason. I recall Fatboy from EE winning best newcomer when Danny was up for it.
Thought it was a very good episode last night, although Aaron spewing his guts up in the field wasn't a nice sight haha
Great acting by all involved though.
Question Author
very true you just can't imagine such a heartbreaking decision , can you?
as someone who has been in a similar situation, though didn't cause the person to die, what you are is numb, and nothing compares to losing someone you love.
I think Emmerdale has its very good storylines, and not quite so off the wall as some of the others.
If you look at the "soap" section on Digital Spy, there is an interview with Marc Silcock (Jackson) in which he says how surprisingly difficult it was to play that part.
Question Author
very well put em x
gingejbee I might just look that up thanks, I believe it must have been, and should be acknowledged. Heartbreaking stuff
Question Author
