How someone with a 6" nail through their hand and into a table could pull it out with there bare hands I don't know. Also, no mention how Alice broke out of where she was banged up and got into Luther's flat. He wasn't at all surprised to see her. Can someone tell me if I missed something, how did Luther & Ripley know where the van with the school children was? As for Ripley, going straight back to work after his ordeal and not going to hospital to be checked over, ridiculous.
in the first episode he went to see her in hosp then outside he wedged the keycard into the apple he was eating and chucked it over the wall into the grounds where Alice picked it up and from there she made her escape.
far fetched i know but enjoyable and Idris well i'd break my nunnery vows for him (as long as he shaved the beard off)

Thanks for that Mccfluff. I did see him chuck the apple over but missed the key card was inside it. Did her tell her he was going to do it or was it a coincidence she found it. Then presumably she just opened her cell/room and walked out!!
I fail to see what his tantrums in the office are all about too, chucking phones about etc, even with his boss there. I did notice in the credits that he is an Associate Producer of the series too. So presumably that gives him licence to dictate how he performs.
<He is most definitely one of my 3 minute men!>
"Three minutes" that all? You must be easily pleased Messalina

"Point about Luther is hes a maverick and one off.
The smashing of the phones, shows his own frustration at his own orders"
Even so, I don't think his antics would last long in the real police force.
Do we know if Paul McGann is to play a bigger part in the future? If not it's a bit of come down for an actor of his experience.
