Download Lovefilm movies?

Been thinking of getting a Lovefilm subscription to watch movies but dunno if it's really worth it. I am more interested in the instant movies streaming part than the DVD rentals.

Is it any good or not really worth the trouble of paying for the subscription?

One other thing I was wondering about is if you can also download streaming films or tv shows from Lovefilm, or you can only stream Lovefilm movies online.

Any ideas on this guys?

We cancelled our lovefilm subscription, we don't have time to watch as many movies as they wanted to send to us. Can't say about streaming, we wouldn't do that.

We have the lowest package which is two DVD's a month and no streaming. However sometimes they give us a couple of hours streaming and it works ok. Can you plug your computer into your TV or do you have a decent size monitor? Otherwise I would get the DVD's sent to you. They are pretty good. We have been with them for years.

I have been with Lovefilm for about 6 years now and the service is brilliant. We have got an unlimited amount package with 2 discs at home at any one time but unlimited amounts within a month i.e the quicker we watch the discs the more we can have. I also watch them online and as far as I know you can only watch them online and not download them but the quality is still great. I would recommend them to anyone.

Thanks for that link stoofur and no problem pixi-, not in a hurry for the moment to get the lovefilm subscription.

I think they actually have now movie streaming for all the Lovefilm subscriptions and the cheapest of them only gives you 3 dvds a month plus two hours streaming.

Personally, dunno why but I think I would prefer to go with some subscription that gives me more movie streaming time, that is if they offer good movies for instant online streaming on lovefilm and don't have the good stuff on dvds and nothing interesting for the online instant streaming.

Oh, forgot to mention at the moment I can't plug my ole computer into the TV and they're in separate rooms anyways but the monitor has quite a decent size, so suppose I could manage to watch instant streaming movies from Lovefilm on it.

Yeah, I figured it might not be possible to download Lovefilm movie streams to the hard disk but hey it was worth a shot, just in case there were some possibility to download movies from lovefilm or anything like this .

The best way to view Movies is on a large Screen TV with a Home Cinema System connected as it's the next best thing to actually going to the Cinema.
Viewing Films on a PC Monitor might be OK but it's not the same experience !

Agreed, watching movies on computer screen not that fun. You need to watch the movies on a big screen if you want a good experience.

Is there no possible way to connect you computer to the tv and watch Lovefilm movies or whatever other movies you've got on the TV?

Sorry also, don't have any idea how to download Lovefilm streaming movies to computer. Though doubt it it would possible, most subscription movie streaming don't let you do this.

Don't really think you got any chances of actually succeeding to catch Lovefilm movie streams and download streaming movies from Lovefilm to your hard disk straight from them, it's not like any other usual streaming site.

One workaround might be, though not 100% sure if it'll work or not, to record Lovefilm instant streaming movies and videos while they play on the screen of the computer or something like this.

There are quite a few screen capture software programs on the web as far as I recall, maybe one of them might work to capture streaming movies from Lovefilm subscription for you.

Suppose the idea's wort a shot.

Actually nope, no possible way at the moment to connect the computer to the tv to watch streaming movies on it, unfortunately for me.

Hmm and you think I could actually be able to pull it off and record instant streaming films from Lovefilm straight from the computer screen while I've set them to play?

Suppose it would be one way to solve this, though dunno what screen capture program might do the trick and manage to record Lovefilm movie streams or anything like this. I thought those are just for making presentations and other such stuff.

Yeah, suppose you have a point there, was not that happy either with having to try a ton of screen capture and recorder apps.

Anyhow thanks for the tip on that Audials Tunebite Lovefilm recorder app, will keep it in mind to see how it works to record instant movie streams from Lovefilm.
