A refugee from tennis, I found myself watching the above, I really couldn't believe how bad it was. If there was a 'Misere' award for a program that could last two hours, with virtually no plot, poor acting, directing and script, set in the most boring locations, (supposedly a university, god help us if it was!) Then this absolute bummer would win hands down. Did anyone else endure this ?

i watched it the first time round, but agree with your sentiment. i believe the whole series contained around 75% of emilia fox staring painfully into some vacant space for several minutes at a time.
I liked the French & Saunders spoof:

- Witless Silence -
Not a fan myself, but if forced to choose between SW and any soap, reality show, talentless show, quiz show, most so-called "comedies" or sport (and probably lots that I have forgotten) - I'd go for SW.

The nadir of British television is almost certainly Big Brother.
