Is it ever explained in Season 4 why Jack burst into tears at the end of Season 3?

i think it was just meant to be through all the stress of the day and the fact it was finally over.

Let's see: he'd just chopped his partner's hand off, killed his ex-lover and the woman who killed his wife, saved the country from a bio-threat etc etc. Plus he hadn't had a fix for a while!

used to be a fan of this show but its boring now.its strecthed to 24 episodes(obviously) but u could easily fit the entire story into 2 or 3.

kim bauer(lovely tho elisha cuthbert is) is just a total disaster ! how can one person find so much trouble in so short a space of time !

I took it to be after the stress of the past 24 hours when he was probably running on adrenaline not heroin, it just got to him when everything was over.  Perhaps the need for a fix then got to him.
