Just caught a bit of a programme about the Stevensons and the lighthouses they built . Thought it might be interesting but there was a women on it who seemed like a female Robert Peston in the way she spoke. She either drawled and left long pauses in between words or jabbered quickly. She really ruined the programme so I switched back to Countryfile. How she got that job I'll never understand!

Glad I didn't watch it then - presentation can make or break a programme. One recent one of Brian Cox's had such loud background music, I found it hard to follow.

Background music and noises has ruined may a good programme. It drives Mr Q bonkers! People complain to the BBC but nothing will ever change as the Beeb thinks itself above any comments it doesn't like.

there's an option on our remote to quieten the background noise.
I didn't know it was there until I saw a friend do it on hers. I wonder if you have it?
