Detective in Italy

Please can someone remind me of what the title was for a detective show that only had about 4 episodes last year? It was based in Italy, and the lead actor was absolutely gorgeous, but I can't remember the series name. Sorry there's not much to go on, but I'm sure that someone can answer this.

Just read that apparently ratings weren't THAT bad and that it may have been more to do with internal politics at the BBC.

He was gorgeous though...and the Italian towns and countryside were lovely. Shame the writing was soooooo sloooooow.

Frankly, I wasn't too bothered about the plot lines - just Rufus Sewell driving around picturesque parts of Italy held my attention for an hour! How come everything I enjoy on the BBC gets cancelled? - or have I just not got good taste?
