I tried but I couldn't get away with GG
Question Author
Sorry Bobbisox it must be my age but I am flummoxed
why?..lol
I started to watch it but it is the second part? and I was rather lost...
sorry, should have said, I missed the first one
Question Author
Ah I didn't understand "couldn't get away with GG"
haha,,,sorry GG :-))

Never mind Bobbisox - there is probably a generation gap - Have to go bed now with my ovaltine night night
I too found it very disturbing, but I was appalled at the low prison sentences given out, they'll be out soon and with millions stashed away will be able to start up again.
It's not just you, I can't fathom GG either!!!!!
If somebody phoned you out of the blue, and started to talk about investment, wouldn't you put the phone down?
I also found it disturbing how easily people could be so obviously forced into such a obvious scam
I 've got a great investment oppournity for AB members -will make you shitloads -you need to be quick please send minimum 10k to reserve your place for my time limited offer.
You have been specially chosen but it is first come ,first serve basis.
Well ,it was worth a try.....your loss not mine ...last chance to invest.....
Yes, I would and have done, but apparently these people were so plausible that even financial advisors were taken in. The woman who spoke at the meeting in the second part had had her advisors look into the offers and thought they were a good deal. I thought last week that she could maybe have a case for a claim against her advisors. These conmen were very very good.
Question Author
Yes the sentences were laughable. The callers must be very good at what they do and as the scripts the used showed they had an answer for anything

I felt so very sorry for that poor old chap - he didn't stand a chance
GG, grannygrump...c'mon..LOL
We all understand the GG ref, Bobbi, it's the 'I tried but I couldn't get away with' we are confuddled about.
watching it Elsie..LOL
maybe that's said like that up here..lol
I did, and what makes me angry, is the relatively low jail sentences they all received.
The conman who phoned the OAP in the 1st episode during filming was so blatantly aggressive it screamed in flashing lights "warning this is a con!!!!!!!"
Btw , ahem, last chance if any one wants to invest 10k in my special investments -it is heavily over subscribed but i am feeling generous and am willing to fit a few ABers in.Obviously if you want to remain dirt poor then don't invest
I don't understand the GG ref, I didn't see the prog, what is it?
