What happened to Point Pleasant??

Although, admittedly, this show was absolute rubbish and I only watched out of pure habit - why was it pulled. It's very odd for a show to be axed mid-season.
Any insider knowledge or was it pulled because it was just crap?

Do you know  I thought the my sky plus had gone on the blink cos it's lost the series link. I know it's crap but I kinda like it! Anyway, I do know that C4 showed episode one last week. Heat called it the new Buffy ... the network cancelled it ,i think e4 must have screened all the episodes it had ,i know i only lasted about 3 episodes then stopped watching

It's becoming more and more frequent now with the American networks to axe shows mid-season.  They did it a few years back with Earth 2, VR5 and early Edition, and more recently Jake 2.0, Odyssey 5 and the second series of Tru Calling was trimmed from 24 episodes, down to 13, and then further trimmed to 6 and cancelled.

They just seem unwilling to give shows a chance to build an audience anymore.

I thought the sries had ended for now, if you think about it, the last episode seemed like an end of season epsiode.

I did read somewhere a season two had been comissioned, so not all is lost.
