Try as I might, I can never see anything that special about AA's landscapes.

I'd much rather see people in photographs, such as those of Henri Cartier-Bresson or Robert Doisneau. (Some of Martin Parr's work is also stunning)

I believe thats the point of AA he never photographed people only landscapes and only ever in black and white....its the use of filters I wish I could understand and replicate
Did he use filters when he photographed landscapes or did he just get the results in the darkroom? Would filters make any difference in B&W?

Much of the end results would have down to the darkroom but initial filtration was paramount especially with clouds
Would that just be polarisers/uv/skylight filters?
