Last Night's Corrie

In Coronation St last night Carla asked Stella if Leanne and Peter had got away ok on their holidays.
Did they take Simon with them and where did they go?
The reason I am asking is because it doesn't seem that long since they came back from a holiday (although I could be wrong) but also because Lloyd and Cheryl wanted to take Russ out of school to go on holiday and the headmaster wasn't happy about that. So how come Simon was allowed?
PS I know it's not real!!!

Lloyd and Cheryl were going to ring in sick but her ex tipped off the Head that it was a holiday, and I think also the Head wanted to side with the ex because of his ill health.
I don't know what happened in Simon's case- was it in term time, did they ring in sick, did the Head authorise the absence.
I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.

Thanks factor I won't lose sleep over it but it just annoys me when scriptwriters do this. It also annoys me when there is no co-ordination there. Peter recently left Carla's wearing a leather jacket and arrived at Leanne's wearing a completely different one.
