I think it's new Quinie. I've just ordered (about 30 minutes ago) the DVD box set from Amazon. I gave up watching the TV years ago as there are so many adverts and trailers now most programmes are a struggle to watch.
Thank you all for your answers. My friend thinks it's a repeat and I did think bits of it seemed familiar.Fantastic programme-I've taped it. Good idea,Andyvon, to buy the boxed set. I've bought all the Larkrise to Candleford series-after getting the first series as a present.
I've bought plenty now Q. 'World at War', David Attenborough's 'Life Collection', 'Open All Hours', 'Rising Damp', 'Are You Being Served', the complete Columbo, Morse, Sherlock Holmes, etc etc. Much better than watching them on TV and you can see everything in order, as and when you like.
Another advantage with DVD is that you can stop and replay sequences you like or didbn't quite catch the first time. I like to use the Step feature to slowly watch some features too.
no ads, Andyvon. That's why they have the 'Freeze frame' section of behind-the-scenes stuff at the end: it gets cut out when the series is shown on commercial networks overseas, to make way for ads and still come in at an hour.
