Obviously I know there are people inside the puppets, but how do the people inside them breathe because the head part must surely be filled with animatronics or something?

Not quite sure but met a camera man who worked on the telly tubbies and he said they can only do about 15 minutes of shooting each 2 hours due to the heat inside the costumes
