They seem to forget they are dogs at the end of the day, not toys, no matter how small and tiny and cute they are. It is ridiculous. We are such a greedy cruel race.

As an animal lover I have avoided watching this as I know how angry it would make me. I agree with atrollope and Purple Popple. I think it's horrific!!

I did watch it although the dog stuff was just wrong. The pet shop woman was keen to stress how she only got her 'stock' from good breeders. Which begs the question how good is a breeder that would allow their pups to be locked in a glass fronted case all day, some of them on their own. If you had watched it all you would have seen that the breeding of smaller 'farm' type animals is infact just a reversal of what was done hundreds of years ago to make them bigger so they would be worth more money to the farmers. I have asked Father Christmas for a micro pig, mini donkey and a miniature goat though.

Refused to watch this programme. Poor little things, it's just not natural. I'd be so scared of standing or sitting on one of the little dogs. Stupid human race !!!!

I watched a bit as I was interested in the micro pigs but the women in LA (was it?) was just deplorable. I couldn't believe it when she thought the teeny, tiny little black dog was fine because it only had a little bit of hydrocephalus -not a lot. What the hell? That was enough for me and turned it off.
