Property Ladder

Did anyone watch property ladder last night. At the end it said it was in memory of somebody. Was this the builder who went AWOL? I thought it was the man who bought the property but my bloke thinks it was the builder.

I noticed this and wondered who the heck he was.  I can confirm that it wasn't the property owner because his name was David and I think the person to whom the dedication was made was called Gordon Thompson. 

He was probably a member of the team who made the show.

I thought for some reason it might be the son of the bloke who bought the property, who we saw on screen briefly, but I don't know why I thought that.

I thought it was the son too, i'm sure it was in memory of David Thompson and the dates were 1974-2004 so it can't have been the guy who had bought the house...

If those were the dates then it was probably his Son, mind you the builder did look young as well and there was no mention of why he didnt come back... but i suppose that is not unusal for a builder!

If you remember right during the round up of the costs of the show Sarah Beeney mentioned the original builder and said due to family problems he didnt come back.  Maybe the deceased person was the builder or a family member of the builder, and the 'in memory' thing was for their families benefit, afterall it did put the builder in a bad light when the said he just stopped turning up.  Not all builders are like that! they need to have a good reason not to turn up at site, after all its their wages too! and before you ask, yes i do work for a construction company - lol

also - it could be the property owner as the dates were 1974-2004 making the deceased only 30 and the owner was way more than 30!!

Ok, this was annoying me so i went on the C4 website - the Property Developer was called David Thompson so given the dates it mst have been his son...

I was going to ask this exact question.

I only saw bits of this programme, as I was in and out of the kitchen, cooking supper. However, I saw the end, and thought the name in the dedication was Daniel Thompson. ??
