Clips from an old "Top of the pops"

Would anyone have an idea how I'd go about finding a particular clip from an old BBC programme ? Is there an online resource for such items, I am looking for the top of the pops performance of "Young Girl" by Gary Puckett and the Union gap for a friend who appeared on the show, I know it's a long shot but any help would be appreciated, thanks

Sadly, we are not able to provide this service due to the cost and manpower involved in duplicating archive material.

If you have made a significant contribution to a BBC programme (for example you were a performer or a member of the production team) you can request a contributor's copy of the show if it is held in the archives.

Please include full details of the programme and how you were involved. You will be required to sign a contract limiting future re-use of the tape and there will be a fee for researching and making a copy.

Top Of The Pops 2 was axed about a year ago. It's possible the footage no longer exists anyway.
