If I install a 23 element aerial in the loft space, will this enable me to receive TV channels on my analogue TV after the digital switchover?

Only if you plug your TV into a freeview box.

Note you dont need a new aerial to watch digital TV.

As long as your aerial is a decent roof or loft mounted aerial it will pick up both analouge and digtal TV.

It always amazes me number of TV companies who advertise "digtial aerials" when there is no such thing, all aerials pick up both analogue and digital.
