fair play to phil she is very rude to keep shouting that their boring her with their opinions I know she was badly beaten by a man in the past he wrecked her face and she had it rebuilt she clearly hasnt dealt with any of it.I feel so sorry for her daughter who wont ever know its ok to just be yourself.

Her initial argument - that her daughter can use the vouchers for surgery, or ccash them in - seems somewhat odd.
Having three daughters and a grand-daughter who have all passed that age, i can say with some certainty that the idea of a piece of paper to be used in ten years time would not be their idea of a present!
Children live in the here and now - there is ample time for this lady's daughter to assimilate what her mother does, and if she, her daughter, may wish to follow the same path, but it does seem odd to be including her in all this at an age where she is unable fully to comprehend what this is all about.
I would be inclinded to buy her daughter some nice clothes, take her and three friends to the cinema, the out for a burger and then home for a sleep-over, and offer her the vouncers for her eighteenth birthday party - assuming that any of them will stll be redeemable after a ten-year gap.
As far as a consensus of opion between Ms/ Burge and the child-care expert, that was never going to happen in that environment, both were too keen to attack the other, for all their pretence at acceptance of each other's views.
Odd lady - setting herself up for ridicule like this belies her apparent intelligence.
