Alba is an Argos-only "own-brand", so they would be better placed to give this info. And don't forget "HD ready" does NOT mean it can receive HD transmissions.

Internet say it is an HD TV with built-in digital Freeview. If you want to watch anything in HD, you will need a separate HD source, e.g. a Freeview HD box, HD TV service or BluRay player.
