I worked at the BBC and he came to my office as he was going back to programme making. He was so nice to me and said thank you for letting me come here etc which he had no need to do, being a million times more important than me. A true gentleman and so knowledgable. Of course I want him to go on forever!
Nummy is right; he's not "over 90", he's 85 (86 this coming May 8th).
It's a fact of life that as one gets older one's voice, gait and demeanour sometimes undergo some changes. One thing that sometimes undergoes changes as well, to a greater or lesser degree, is one’s mind. Sir David Attenborough’s mind most certainly has not suffered any untoward changes. He is still as informative and entertaining as he was 30 years ago. I’ve just watched “Darwin’s Tree of Life” and it was well put together, very interesting and superbly presented.
Quite who Jemisa has in mind who might have similar talent, skills and knowledge as Sir David and who is currently being denied their “opertunity”, it is hard to imagine.

OK I stand corrected about his age but 85 - 86 - 90 what does it matter. There are several youngsters that can step in his shoes. DA is as good as he is and as knolegable as he is because of years & years of experience and he truly is (or was) fantastic & I wouldn't take that away from him, but like us all there comes a time when one has to hang up one's boots (so to speak)
If you ever watch the 'One Show' they constantly have up and coming DA's on that show.
No one is infallable...
