I'm watching too, they were all so pretty back then!
Bowie is amazing! I saw Sparks mentioned... Wonder if Mark is watching? :-)
It's a 10 part series, I've just set series record!
New York Dolls!! I wish I was alive in the 70's :|
He's not, but he's seen it many times... :-)

Ordered my ticket today for their Barbican show later in the year - can't wait!

Get in the Swing - probably the weakest of all the Sparks singles.
Get In The Swing :-) My mum's saying that they used to give her the creeps!! Haha!
Get In The Swing - a true classic from Sparks' best album, one of the best albums of all time by any artiste.

I preferred the Kimono My House album. Amateur Hour was a great single

Fantastic show. Scott & Bailey relegated to ITV Player for tomorrow night, forgot to freeview plus it.
Brpught back memories of the 70s, the weather (could only remember the hot stuff), the telly ('Don't tell him, Pike', Swapshop and Fork Handles) and as I was just a child then, the absence of the burdens and commitments of adulthood.
The Kinks, Queen, Bowie, Elton John, etc, etc. What incredible talent!!!!
that's what music was like when I was alive...!!!!!..had the satin pants and hair too !!
Yeah, but that's not to say that present teenagers won't be saying the same about Plan B, Eminem, Beyoncé and Robbie Williams in forty years...
most likely...where ARE my love beads ?..hee hee
I watched Elton John and thought, 'I can't imagine what it must be like to have music like that in your head.' Strange thought, perhaps .... but just imagine. I can't even get my head around the idea. My admiration knows no bounds!
I would have been some sort of glam, punk, goth rocker. I would have been a state!! Haha!

When we started watching this, my mum said "get ready for real, decent music". I took offence to that! She knows how much I like this era!
All I can hear from my 13-year-old son's bedroom of a Saturday night is Fleetwood Mac, Wings, The Rolling Stones etc...

Now where did my record collection disappear to?

I think I've made a good impression :-)
