Question Author
ooh now there's an offer....does it have velvet seats?? That used to be our definition of a quality pub when I was young.
Quick, grab the TV zapper and watch what you want for a bit.
i remember those too. how times change
Question Author
lol sher - i almost never watch tv - living room is all dark and everything is switched of, doors are locked etc etc - can't believe it's not half 10 yet!!
I remember those nights too annie..where does the time go??
Question Author
boys generally get to stay up a bit later at the weekend but the took themselves up to bed at just after 9 and shouted down that they were going to sleep at about half past. Oh is working tomorrow and starts at 6am so early night for him too.
Question Author
chi chi, I have no idea :o)
Mine stay up later on the weekend but the things are zonked from starting at nursery this week, they were asleep at 7 o'clock.
Question Author
Awww - have they had a good time sher? My two actually liek their sleep - added to that they had used up all their screen time for today, I think they were eager for it to be tomorrow so they had time back again and could get back on their computers/ipods etc!!
They have had a good time and thing 2 has done particularly well, but got upset yesterday when some mums started to collect their children. He thought I had forgotten about him. How much screen time do you limit your boys too?
Question Author
Theoretically 2 hours a day - but that tends to get bent a wee bit as they will have a little time before school but I tend not to count that and at the weekend it might be more as they will get some PC time and then we may watch a movie or something - equally they are out on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday nights at clubs so would get less than 2 hours those days.
Question Author
sounds like nursery is definitely the right thing for them then - it will make the transition to school so much easier I would think. :o)
Took my OH to hospital yesterday for a minor op. It was like leaving a small child at nursery on the first day!! I had to promise to pick him up at lunch time!!
Question Author
lol tenrec - we are all still toddlers at heart!
I'm home in bed and Mrs Zacs is down the pub. How sad is that!
You wouldn't believe it. He kept texting me saying things like "don't forget to bring .... when you come for me", "I haven't had anything to eat", "I haven't any money..." He just went on and on till I picked him up. Glad it was nothing serious he was having done!
Nursery seems to be the right choice but thing 2 is much more confident now so I am happy that I did the right thing in not sending them earlier. His speech has come on loads lately and nursery seems to have 'got' him. They are very good at this particular one and very caring. It is run by the parish so is not overly profit-orientated.
Question Author
poor zacs - get up and go and join her!

tenrec, you should have taken his phone away!

Sher - that's absolutely fab. the way things are going, in a couple of years you'll be wondering if he ever had a problem!!
No no, I've been but come home early.
