That said I'm not as keen now either. They now come over as too 'safe' after the delights of Swedish 'Wallander's', 'The Killing', The Bridge','Borgen', Those Who Kill', 'Spiral' and 'Braquo'.
Unfortunately, here in the U.S. we rarely receive the Morse or Lewis[i programs, but, for a number of seasons we did watch [i]Midsomer Murders[i] and greatly appreciated John Nettles' [i]Chief Inspector Thomas Geoffrey Barnaby[i]. So much so, that at the last showing of the series on an obscure cable channel, we could only watch it at 0800 on [i]Saturday![i]. We (Mrs. C. and me) never missed an episode if we could help it.
Sadly, it's not carried on BBC America (although [i]Top Gear] is.
I haven't purchased the boxed DVD's yet... hoping that'll be a birthday present sometime...
