who in the name of chuff decided that Rolf's performance should be cut short for some chappie sitting at a piano, who isn't even from the commonwealth?
ps..someone please tell Cheryl Cole that she can't sing.
Stevie Wonder was great - the rest was ok with the exception of Grace Jones and Cheryl Cole who were both ghastly
Sir Elton did ok under the circumsatnces but, oh somebody tell Sir Paul
Also - those comedians - why?
I usually find Rolf Harris fun, but they way he smarmed and crept drove me mad, he just went on and on, is he after a Knight hood, or has he got one already? Paul Mc,Cartney was dreadfull, he slaughtered 'let it be' he should be put in the tower for that, most of the celebration was great, I think Shirley Bassey should have finished the show with 'diamonds are forever'.
I recorded it and watched it on fast forward stopping at each act and moving on if I didn't enjoy it.
I stopped at Will-i-am, I like him. I stopped at the pianist, the opera singer, Shirley Bassey and the Andrew Lloyd Webber Commonwealth song. Teh rest were either old timers who have had their day, or comedians wh embarrassed me.
Overall I enjoyed it though - I thought the setting was excellent, the opening and closing numbers very impressive and the special effects were brilliant.
McCartney, Harris, Richards, and most of the comedians need putting down or sending off to HM's old folks home and what the f were they doing having Grace Jones, Stevie Wonder and even Renée Fleming there, when we (UK and Commonwealth) have Jenkins, Alison Balsom, Celine Dion, Adele, Katie Melua, Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Phil Collins, Roger Waters, to name but a hundred few
I thought you would bite Mick. No he hasn't kicked my dog but he's proved a point. Didn't know the occasion. when he carried the Olympic torch he was Tweeting and Moonwalking and didn't even know which town he was in. Reportedly he was useless on The Voice. A bit of a nonentity don't you think Mike? So I guess dipstick or perhaps Silly Willy is definitely appropriate.
