Hi. I began subscribing to the basic sky package over 3 yrs ago. I no longer wish to subscribe; what actually happens if I cancel it, I know I'll lose the progs that I subscribe for - but does this mean I have to get a digital box or something, or will I still be entitled to keep their box and receive the standard channels through it? TIA

You keep the box and the viewing card - you still get the free to air channels.

Do you only count the ones who pushed the right buttons?
Soory wrong thread
Make sure you keep your sky card plugged into the box, even if expired you still need it to view the free to view channels (the free to air channels would work without it)
Note you wont be able to watch anything you have previously recorded on the Sky box after cancelling your Sky subscription.

Also you will lose your Sky "record" capability on the Sky box as well.
Do it! I did and have never looked back.
of course you keep the sky box......it has been yours since you first subscribed. And, as above, as long as you keep the card in you can get the free to air channels and remember to watch any recorded programmes because even if you paid for sky box office film and you recorded it it will be wiped as well.
>>>even if you paid for sky box office film and you recorded it

I thought if you did not watch a Sky box office film you were not charged for it.

Thanks folks. I'd hate to lose the record facility if I'm honest, so I'll have to re-think!
