It took me 3 years of trying to get on the show and I estimate I used to spend about �1000 a year on the phone calls. At �1 per call, that's about 3000 calls!

My partner used to go crazy about the phone bills but he stopped moaning after I got on the show!

I've been on TV twice.

Once on "Hit Man and Her" (dancing in the crowd, wearing a very naff tie I'd borrowed off me step-dad) in the late 80's. Watching it on telly after, I had to sit through nearly 2 hours of it before I could see meself in the last 5 minutes.

Much later on I could be seen on NorthWest Tonight having a cig outside Bootle Town Hall whilst I was there on Jury Service at the Coroner's Court.

Grand total of TV exposure time? About 27 seconds. Do I win a prize?

I guess I'm still owed 14 minutes and 33 seconds of fame.

Songs of Praise, in a choir.. Singing a song in Welsh which I never learned the words for so was pretending just like John Redwood did. Except he was Secretary of State for Wales and looked like am a*** and I was 8.

Also and much more impressive.....my mate Teresa was on telly as a Diddyman!!!
