yes, with the charachters they had a few more twists and turns couldve made it more gripping.
however i did like the element of how you never really know someone, even if you are close to them like a mother.
The mother of a murdered daughter summed it up brilliantly when she said 'at 8 you know your child, then you start to lose them' - its very true, we learn how to close ourselves off as we grow older.
I also enjoyed how it depicted the dymanics of how living in a house with children from different marriages can often lead to fraught situations and unhealthy alliances.
