This is the write-up from the BBC Comedy website -
A Scottish fantasy sitcom for younger viewers featuring Una McLean as Flora Havers: by day, the meek, mild-mannered postmistress in the Highlands village of Ballikillern, but by night the writer of exciting adventure stories. Her secret writings come to life and Flora, in her alter ego as Captain Bonny, becomes locked in a battle with the evil Mr Black. By the second series, Flora's writings were no longer secret and had been turned into a successful TV show, earning her money and fame. She then found herself able to live out real-life adventures in the style of her Bonny creation.
If this doesn't sound right there was a one-off in 1965 called Betsy Mae with a similar theme Try searching the BBC comedy website - good luck !
