ITV, why did you destroy Daybreak with bad presenters?
11 Answers
For decades I enjoyed watching TVam, GMTV, and more recently Daybreak. But now my mornings have been ruined. I really loved Andrew Castle and Dan Lobb as hosts, but I've never been able to watch Lorraine Kelly, and Aled Jones should have stayed on radio which he has a face for. As for those two trying-so-hard-to-be-chummy anonymous numpties on earlier, don't get me started! It's all very well saying "Watch something else instead", I feel robbed. Your thoughts please

Can't watch, won't watch Lorraine Kelly.

My thoughts are everyone has their own tastes, but I don't seem to share your own. Maybe you just need to get used to them before they seem ok to you. That said I don't pay any attention to how chummy the presenters get. Just what is in the programme and whether I enjoyed watching it (TV tends to be a background thing for me anyway - got other stuff to get on with in the morning).
My choice is BBC, but the family often put on Daybreak.
I have to agree that Dan Lobb is a big loss.
Kate Garaway is annoying, so it's good that she has been shunted to Fridays.
You are right that Aled should stick to the radio God spot. Adrian was better than him, though Christine B was useless.
What amuses me is that they have poached Laura Tobin to do the weather. When they hand over to her they look to the left, but she is looking left before she turns to camera. If they are really meeting eyes, she should be looking right.
