Enjoy watching Countdown (mainly solving the numbers games) but Nick Hewer simply doesn't work as the host for me

He spent all this week licking Ranulph Fiennes @r$e, so much so it almost became the Ranulph Fiennes show (telling his oh-so-boring 'I went on this expedition, I climbed that peak' stories)

I was highly amused by Mr. Fiennes "headgear" or should I say Rug, saw him a few years ago with a bald head, looked fine, never had him down as a vain man, however............

Nick 'tick-tock time' Hewer doesn't work for me either.

Always looks like he wants to be in Rachel's knickers not that I really watch the programme.

I find him rather belittling sometimes of the contestants. If you're winning you're ok but if you're lagging behind he dosen't say anything to help boost your confidence. I think more time should be spent with the contestants not kow-towing to the guests on dictionary corner who only usually come on when they've got something to publicise.
