i've only ever seen such a thing on the tele where james caan battered everyone or the mighty ducks. has anyone been to ice hickey, is it noisy? it's the blackburn hawks

The game itself isn't noisy. The music blasts can be quit loud though through the game and the over excited commentary.
It can be if there is a big crowd. Be aware it takes longer than you might think. 3x20 minute playing periods with approx 20 minute intervals.
Then there is the old, old joke about the guy who went to watch a fight and an ice-hockey match broke out.

good job we're not taking my granddaughter then, she's only 1 next week and doesn't like noisy crowds. but 13 year old grandson will love it.
Like Eccles says, Dotty. Never been here but when we lived in Canada I loved going. Crowds were always great and the game itself is strangly quiet but it is the music that is very loud. Enjoy!!
