...just watched the original episode...still very funny but OMG... 37 years ago..1975...I was 26 way back then, a mere sprog with a whole life ahead...talk about tempus fugit...groan..:-(

Flowery Snags, an anagram, as we used to call it was typical british comedy of the time,now we have t___ts like Frankie Boyle.Going on to better things are you watching the Kingfishers.

Afraid I hated Fawlty Towers from day one. John Cleese may have been slightly amusing in Monty Python but........ As you say OH, Frankie Boyle is a disgrace to Scotland. Watching Spiderman for about the 20th time with my four year old grandson - yawn. Must be bedtime soon??
I used to like Faulty Towers, especially Manuel.
I always loved Fawlty Towers- I was around 16 when it first came out- and still like it now. I was pleased when the junior factors also discovered it on UK Gold 20 odd years later and laughed along with me

I think my favorite was the episode with the Germans.

No swearing, innuendo or double entendre just straight foreward comedy with class stereotypes,sex and gender jokes,snobbish attitudes ....pretty much British humour of the day.
