I think it's funny - especially seems so when you're Jewish. I hadn't compared it to Gavin & Stacey until now. Similar situations but different kind of humour. There's room for both.

Being across the water from Hebburn, I went all out to watch this - I don't find it funny at all, and no where near as funny as G&S. It's just cringey as far as I can see & most folk round here think the same!

I must admit to having my enthusiasm kerbed by the 2nd and 3rd episodes. Maybe I should have waited until I'd watched more than the first one.
