The name's Bond ! Brooke Bond ! Basildon ?
I don't watch the programme, but I have never liked him.
I used to quite fancy him when he was The Saint, but i feel he lost his way on HIGNFY, I think that he should probably be put out to pasture now.
You got to admire him though; he's still up to a full on UK tour and a number of these TV appearences just to promote the book. I thougt he was mildy amusing on HIGNFY.

I saw him at local theatre and he was lovely but he mumbled and got quieter and quieter. An hour would have done but he was willing and considerate during the Q&A. Inevitably, the book sold out in minutes.

I really do think that the producers let themselves down, the teams down and most of all let Roger Moore down.

He might be able to do the odd interview full of reminiscing but to host a show such as HIGNFY was crazy. Although HIGNFY is scripted you need to be able to deliver it in a very natural way and not depend on autocue. It was a very low point in the history of HiGNFY and Roger Moore.
It wasn't that bad eccles! I've seen plenty others who's eyes follow the autoclue just as slowly.
Just trying to watch the recording, so interesting that I've written this! I never particularly liked him as JB, though I'm old enough to remember him as Ivanhoe and I quite liked him then.
I thought it was good.
I thought it was the worst episode ever.
he was definitely past it but, on the other hand, it did make a change from Alexander Armstrong or Damian Lewis as presenter for the umpteenth time
isn't william shatner due to be on it?
captain krik was on it a few weeks ago
I really hope they never put Frankie 'Boil' on it!
I thought Rog was better than John Prescott............

Almost the first time i've switched the prog off......dreadful! //

Me too, I lasted 10 seconds. By the bl00dy cringe.
blooming heck - just looked it up and William Shatner was host all the way back in May; can't believe it was 6 months ago already
I liked Angus Deayton?
It may be politically incorrect to say so, but to my mind the show has never been the same since they sacked Angus Deayton, for the heinous crime of consorting with young, overage floosies, rather than children.
I enjoyed the show with Angus as host but it does work very well with guest hosts, on the whole.
Most of them have been very good, some have been absolutely suprisingly brilliant
