I have a few friends and family coming over in a coupe of weeks, for a 'festive' lunch, as not everyone is around on Christmas day.
I am starting to stress out about a few things... Christmas seating being the main one.
The table isn't the problem, but more of where everyone's going to sit in the lounge.
I have one sofa, and two single chairs - so can seat 4. What on earth am I going to do with the others?! There will be 12 people coming, plus me and 3 kids. I have a wooden floor in the lounge, so can't really expect people to sit on there as it will be cold/hard.
I have a couple of those chairs in bags which I find very handy for such occasions ,even folding garden chairs,if you have.
Put a couple of cushions on them to make them more cosy.
Naomi/Kloofneck, brilliant! It may look a bit 'upright' (if that's the right word to use) but I didn't really want to have to go and buy seating as it's not often I'd need to use it.
I've had to use garden chairs on occassion, usually the dining chairs do just fine, once people start nattering and drinking they don't tend to care where they sit. Enjoy.
Hilarious, AroundTheBlock. However, I wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to something that may be a bit more comfortable, and didn't involve me having to move heavy chairs around.
Thanks Rocky. I think the garden chairs will be better, as I can just set them up and leave them there, rather than having to keep moving the from room to room :-)
See if you can find some cheap Christamssy cushions for your garden chairs. That'll make them comfy and festive.indoor. Add a couple of red/green beanbags for the kids to jump on and you're there.
