What films make you cry?  For whatever reason. For me I always cry from the beginning to the end of 'It's a Wonderful Life'

Ice Age, when Manny is looking at the wall with the paintings.

It's generally emotive stuff that's about loss.
I still haven't managed to watch Bambi all the way through. Apart from that though, it's not so much films that make me beef as wildlife documentaries. You know that what you're seeing on there is real, not just a made-up story.
It's easier to list films I haven't cried at! Ones I DO cry at include - The Goonies, Penny Serenade, The Search, Song Of The South,The Man Who Knew Too Much, Cocoon, The Abyss, Love Actually and Die Hard (I'll never live that one down!)

I can see that spudqueen, when bruce meets the cop, is it Joe near the end.  See Im pathetic too.  Its the hormones.
It's gotta be Ghost for me.....
I tend to cry very easily at films at tv shows so like Spudqueen, it would be easier to list the ones I don't cry at. However the Green Mile comes instantly to mind - I remember staying up into the early hours to watch it through to the end and bawling my eyes out.

The Green Mile does it to me every time! I'm always a complete wreck by the end,it's just the so sad and desolate look on John Coffey's face. The final scene of The Searchers where John Wayne is standing alone in the doorway gets me every time too!

There are two films where I was uncontrollable the first is The Elephant Man at the end where he just wants to lie down on a bed like everybody else (watch it it's Brilliant) and the other although not a classic film A.I. by Spielberg the end again because eveybody just wants to be loved.

I've got dewey eyed at other films but i try to be macho the previous two I was on m my own Lol

im sorry i have to admit to being a bit like oz,s tin man because i have never cried at a film or tv program ever.

Edward Scissorhands used to be the only one that got me every time.  But then along came Love Actually and I cry at her funeral every time! :-(
The Green Mile does it for me, at the end when he is sentence for the crime he didn't commit. It's such a good film. I haven't seen Bambi yet, but i saw the clip of it when it was talked about on those top ten things and i had tears.
is it sad to say that the end of armageddon when the captain of the shuttle shakes liv tylers hand complimenting her father as the bravest man ever ok to say? cos it brings a huge lump to my throat!

lindapinda and turquiose, as soon as i posted my answer, I sat here and went, "oh yeah, and my other fav is, The Green Mile", one of the best films ever made...brilliant. I cried buckets all the way through it.

The Color Purple.

I got through two boxes of Kleenex.

She's Having a Baby - with Kevin Bacon. The bit where he's sat in hospital and Kate Bush's A Womans Work starts playing. I know it's not a very well known film, but it gets to me every time.

Thanks to everyone who included spoilers in their posts and ruined my enjoyment of the Green Mile which I have hired to watch this week... GRRRRR!!!  PLEASE PLEASE people - if you're going to put a spoiler... warn people!!!!  It's not safe to assume that everyone out there has seen these classics!  I knew Green Mile was a weepy, but I didn't know exactly what happened.  I do now.... great.  Cheers. :-(

PS - The gratitude is laced with sarcasm, it's just hard to show in text.

Cinema Paradiso gets me every time, what a lovely end to a film and the music is beautiful!

Definitely the Deer Hunter Andy!

Also Pay It Forward - heart wrenching ending!

Not a film but the Waltons did it every week for me. Quite bizzare!
