If you want to watch TV on your laptop, you can get USB devices that will allow you to take a video signal and watch it.

If you want to display your laptop's screen on your TV, you can buy devices to plug into the external monitor port that will convert the signal to something TV-compatible.

Buy a port adapter. They cost about �10 from any half decent electrical retailer
