Has anyone seen this movie? I was just wondering where it was filmed, I looked on IMDB, but they don't list filming locations for this one. It looks like it could be Dover, but some of the scenes where the main character (John Hurt) is walking through tall rock structures (maybe CGI) don't look familiar. Any ideas?

I think this version was filmed in Kent and Camber Sands....not quite East Anglia.

If you liked this, try to track down the black and white version directed by Jonathan Miller, with Michael Hordern in the main role - late 60's, I think. I saw it when I was quite young and was scared out of my wits. It's occasionally shown on TV (usually around Christmas) but I just can't watch it - the hair is standing up on the back of my neck now just thinking about it!
I love the Michael Horden version Brainiac. Every year I go to The Manor at Hemmingford Grey for a candle lit reading of M.R. James stories. Scary.
