She's 85 years old - no she doesn't have a laptop
She can't grasp how to use a mobile
TV Choice at 45p is very good, out on a Tuesday listings for many freeview channels also!!
If she just wants something very basic Choice or What's On Tv are ok, 45p.
If she'd like a bit more reading and tv gossip there's an offer on for TV Times subscription at the moment

'What's on TV' recently increased in price from 50p to 52p, but very much worth it.

The weekly TV listings are:

TV Choice
What's on TV
TV & Satellite
Total TV guide
TV Times
Radio Times
TV Easy

TV Choice and WOTV are similar in price and content, Radio and TV Times a bit more upmarket. TV & Sat, and Total TV are best for cable and satellite (although all of them show listings for these channels)

They are all much of a muchness, I think!
What about the Saturday Mail, it has a good tv guide, could be arranged through her local newsagent.
I get TV and Satellite weekly, gives a quick rundown on new stuff, £1.40 and comes out on tuesdays.

Thank you all for your help
I have gone with the TV Times option as I think it will suit her - she like soaps and Downton - that kind of thing

Again many thanks
Nice to see you are concerned for your mums comfort.
